Gravatar 7.x-1.0 First to Fulfil #D7CX Pledge

A couble of hours before the release of Drupal 7, Dave Reid tweeted that Gravatar 7.x-1.0 was unleached in the wild. Less than 10 minutes later it was installed, enabled and configured on Drupal Mill using the built in module install feature.

The module let users on Drupal site use their user picture stored on the Gravatar website instead of uploading it manually to every site they have an account at. Then they only need to change it in one place and it will then automatically be used on all other websites it is used on.

Its a nice little module that is easy to install and configure, then it just works. Its a great service, but I wonder if the site will be able to compete with Twitter, Facebook, Google and everyone else offering not only the same feature, but also letting users log in quickly with their user credentials on other sites.

Anyhow, another reason I installed it here is because was the first module to fulfil the #D7CX pledge.
